Daydream Island Resort
and Spa gains T-QUAL Tick
Daydream Island Resort
and Spa has become accredited to display the national tourism quality benchmark
symbol, the T-QUAL Tick.
An initiative of Tourism Australia, the tick provides consumers
with an easily recognisable symbol of quality that they can look for when
planning their holidays.
“Daydream is proud to
receive this rating because it reflects our commitment to providing guests with
the highest quality accommodation, service and experiences possible,” Daydream Island
Resort Manager Warren McCorriston said.
“This government accreditation also gives confidence
to travel agents and wholesalers selling hotel product domestically and
internationally.
“Daydream promises to consistently deliver high standards and we continually
review and improve our product as part of that promise. Some recent examples
include a significant upgrade to the Living Reef lagoon, additional training
of our staff in quality customer service and a soft refurbishment
of our rooms.”
Located in in the
heart of the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef, Daydream Island Resort and
Spa is the ultimate tropical getaway surrounded by glorious beaches, coral
reefs and lush rainforest.
The award-winning resort features 296 rooms and suites, a
Rejuvenation Spa offering world class treatments and therapies and a unique man
made Living Reef lagoon where guests can touch baby sharks and de-barbed
stingrays and take part in daily feeding shows.
Guests can
also enjoy diving and snorkelling off the fringing coral reef, jet skiing,
parasailing, fishing, reef explorer tours and much more.
Daydream has won
numerous awards including the 2011 Whitsunday Tourism Awards’ best Tourist
Attraction – Living Reef, and Holidays for Kids’ Top Ten Resorts for Families
award.
