DAYDREAM Island Resort and Spa has been ranked as
one of the top family resorts in Australia for the third straight year,
according to a recent travel survey.
The popular Whitsunday Island getaway was named in the Top 10 Resorts for Families for 2012 as part of an annual survey conducted by family
travel magazine Holidays with Kids
and voted on by readers.
Holidays with Kids is the highest circulating
family travel magazine in Australia with a readership of over 600,000.
Daydream
Island Resort and Spa CEO Phil Casey said the resort team
was thrilled to have been named a family favourite for a third consecutive year.
“A lot of effort has been put in this year to
enhance customer experiences and we are delighted that our hard work has been
recognised for a third year running,” Mr Casey said.
“Staff are trained to deliver the best possible
service to our guests so they leave their holiday with lasting memories and a
desire to one day return.”
Mr Casey said the Living Reef lagoon and Rejuvenation
Spa were two of the resort’s world-class attractions that had undergone recent
upgrades to enhance customer enjoyment.
“The Living Reef, which is home to over 100 species
of marine fish and coral, has improved filtration and technology to ensure it
is kept in pristine condition, while we continue to build relationships with
educational institutions to expand on our educational programs,” he said.
“Our signature Rejuvenation Spa is the ultimate
relaxation facility for Mums and Dads, and we have introduced weekly health
programs focusing on wellness and stress management therapies to further enrich
the experience.
“We offer something for everyone, from water sports
such as jet skiing, kayaking and scuba diving to the spectacular Living Reef
lagoon where the kids can touch baby sharks and de-barbed
stingrays and the kids’ Skipper’s Club which offers fun games
and activities.
“Daydream Island is ideal for families and couples
alike and we are proud to provide a unique and memorable holiday experience for
everyone.”
Located in the idyllic Whitsunday Islands, Daydream
Island is covered in rainforest and surrounded by stunning coral reefs and
exquisite white coral beaches.
It offers over 20 free activities including catamarans,
kayaking, sailing, rainforest walks, beach volleyball, mini golf and diving nets,
water polo, coconut bowls and a free open air cinema. Guests can also take part
in free daily fish feeding at the man-made Living Reef aquarium, or indulge in one of several signature pampering treatments at
